The instruments that travel with the CMM
Gauge blocks, ring and plug gauges, and granite surface plates are the artifacts a CMM calibration already depends on. Pairing their recall with the machine's interval keeps one due-date schedule instead of two.
Calipers, micrometers, height and bore gages, indicators and pin gages are handled on the same visit where the volume justifies it.
What's in the crib
Accredited and non-accredited items are identified separately on the quote and on the certificate.
- 01
Length standards
Gauge blocks conforming to ISO 3650, ring gauges and pin gauges are calibrated as a set.
- 02
Hand tools
Calipers, micrometers, height gages and bore gages are checked against their stated tolerance.
- 03
Surface references
Granite surface plates and granite squares are flatness-checked on interval.
- 04
Indicators and threads
Dial and digital indicators, plug gages and thread gages round out the crib.
